Overview

The metal carved panel is an insulated wall cladding combining decoration and insulation in one board: an aluminum-zinc coated steel face, a rigid polyurethane insulation core and a moisture-resistant aluminum foil backing. It is a common choice for exterior wall insulation and renovation.

With a variety of brick, stone, wood-grain and embossed finishes, the panel suits self-built houses, factory walls, old-building renovation and lightweight steel structures. Tongue-and-groove joints with sealant give a clean, concealed fastening.

Choosing Thickness & Core

  • 16mm — lightweight (about 3 kg/m²), low wall load; quick to install; well suited to renovation, interior decoration, light-steel villas, booths and projects with wall-load limits.
  • 18-20mm — balanced insulation and cost for general buildings.
  • 25-30mm — thicker insulation for projects with higher thermal requirements; rock-wool core versions available where higher fire resistance is required.

Installation

  • Solid masonry / concrete wall (recommended): fix panels directly with plastic expansion anchors — no steel frame required; tongue-and-groove joint + weather-resistant sealant.
  • Light-steel wall: install a steel frame first (studs no more than 600 mm apart), then fix panels with self-tapping screws spaced no more than 400 mm.
  • Use trim strips around doors and windows, and special corner profiles for inside/outside corners.

FAQ

What fire rating does the metal carved panel have?

The metal carved panel (insulated wall cladding) is rated B1(B) per GB 8624-2012, with the corresponding test report available. Rigid polyurethane core and EPS-core versions meet different project requirements.

How heavy is the 16mm panel?

The 16mm panel weighs about 3 kg per square meter, so it adds little load to the wall and can be installed by one worker.

Can it be installed directly onto a brick or concrete wall?

Yes. On solid brick or concrete walls, panels can be fixed directly with plastic expansion anchors — no steel frame needed. On light-steel walls, install a frame first, then fix the panels.

How long does it last?

With normal use, the panel is expected to last 20-30 years. The aluminum-zinc coated face and fluorocarbon coating resist weathering, and the surface shows no obvious fading within about 15 years under normal conditions.
